Part VIII –
"Deep inside your soul there is a hole you don't want to see." – Offspring
I looked at his blue eyes. They poured satisfaction as he gave me the news. For some reason, my chest felt heavy. I should be happy to find out; I don't have to be with Arthur, but… I felt sad that Arthur was only using me as a host. Francis took out a small jar, which contained water in it. He took a sip and offered, but I declined it politely.
"So, __________, you still want to bear his children?"
"I never did!" I growled. Francis chuckled, and placed the jar back into the basket.
"Well, if you don't accept Arthur as your partner, you will have others waiting on your doorstep." He winked.
"What are you talking about, Priest-Faker?" I sneered.
"You powerful host have other vampires after you. You go into a type of season, where your will-power is great. You know about Feli and Lutz, oui?" I nodded, "Well, before we knew Feli was Lutz's host, you received a huge amount of attacks from random vampires, no? Well, it was all Feli's fault."
"So, Feli was in "season" which made vampires we had never dealt with come." I recapped.
"Oui!"
"Then, why did it stop?" I asked.
"Eh… well… uh… Lutz claimed him…" Francis said.
I blinked a few times before the statement registered my mind. Then I realized in order for vampires to come and stop attacking me I had to be claimed by Arthur. I looked at Francis, he chuckled and ran his hand through his hair.
"You do know what I mean by claim, right?" Francis asked, I shook my head, "Oh my, you sure are cute! Well, what I mean by claim, I mean he needs to bed you."
I jumped up flipping my chair. I turned my back to Francis and looked down to the floor. I bit my thumbnail in nervousness; my heart thumped in my chest. I thought everything over again. Everything made sense… but why was the thought of Arthur making butterflies in my stomach, why was my heart beating so fast that it could rip out of my chest, and why the hell was my face so hot that I could cook an egg on it. I glanced back at Francis.
"Do vampires sleep during the day?" I asked.
"Oui, for about eight hours from when the sun is high in the sky." Francis said, looking at his nails, "Why the question?"
"I want to go see him… I don't care if he's asleep. He is going to listen to me." I glared.
"Oh~! Did my speech motivate you?" Francis winked. I took out a small knife and threw it to the tree behind him.
"Don't tease me priest. I am not in the mood." I growled as I made my way back to the cottage.
I grabbed my things and waited Francis outside. Francis went inside the cottage and grabbed his keys. He closed the door and walked with me to where Arthur was. Not a word was said along the way. Francis thought that I was fuming but in reality I was just annoyed with the situation of being caught in this mess. We came to a familiar house, after a few seconds I realized I was back at Chika's place.
"He's in here." Francis smiled, again not even knocking. He just pushed the door open.
As I walked in, I saw Feli and Gilbert sitting on the couch. I quickly went to go hug Feli. This whole time, I was busy thinking about myself when I had left Romano last night for the demons to finish him off. Feli cheered as he hugged me, at the corner of my eye, I saw Gilbert and Francis talk.
"Feli, where's Romano?" I asked.
"He's sleeping at our house." Feli smiled. I sighed in relief and heard Gilbert chuckle.
"I would have never fainted like you did, __________! Oh, who am I kidding, I am too awesome for that!" He laughed.
"And this is why you will not find a bride." I said bluntly, but he simply chuckled, "Where's Arthur?"
"He's downstairs in the basement-…"
I didn't hesitate to even ask anything else. I stomped to the basement. I could hear Feli protest in the background trying to stop me. I opened the door to the basement and walked down the flight of stairs. It was dark; there was a small scent of lavender lingering as I walked down the stairs. When, I finally landed on the bottom, Arthur was there. Shirtless and Chika was near him, touching his chest. A dim candle was lit and I could feel my heart sink into my chest.
"What the hell!?"

'Bushy brows still didn't answer why he hate Michelle right? This girl is just a normal being, Why that Brit acts like she's a "Witch"?'
I kept asking myself since yesterday at the party, Things gotten so confusing. I'm not a part of the Southern Empire... Why I know their "method"? Did someone told me...? Did someone sealed my memories?
'Damn... Questions again... Flirting with the maids there wouldn't erase those questions right?' I banged my head on the wall and sighed.

There's a lot this city can do. . . .
It can have gangs . . . . It can have gang fights . . . It can have a headless motor cyclist . . . Hell, It can even have black Russians selling sushi.
But if there's something it can't have, . . . are people messing with Shizuo Heiwajima.
Guess if that was ever an unspoken rule of the city, that everyone tried to keep, so the city wouldn't end up a war zone in like 30 seconds . And even if it was an unspoken rule, apparently it didn't last very long . . .
Because . . .
Well, . . .
Apparently, some people decided to f*** that, and m
