Vampire!Arthur x Reader: Part VI

Part VI –

"Now in the morning I sleep alone." – Coldplay

I was semi-conscious as he carried me through the bushes and trees. Arthur glanced down at me and smiled softly, was he so concerned for my health? He stopped at a small cottage, and opened the door. When he spoke it sounded like a different language to me. He put me down on a soft surface, as he went to argue with a blurred figure. I tried to get up, able to lift myself from the place I was laying.

"I… Roma…" I slurred as I fell back down.

"Don't worry; I'm sure his brother is on his way." Arthur came to where I was and placed a pillow underneath my head.

I started to lose consciousness, but Arthur kept on trying to wake me up. He would tap my shoulder, and move my arm to stay awake. The blurred figure handed him a small teapot, he put the spout near my mouth. I moved my head away not trusting what he was giving me.

"Come on, if you don't then you won't live to see morning."

Maybe he was right; at this point I had to give it a try. I moved my head to look at him as I drank; I noticed his green eyes glow brightly. Arthur stroked my hair back, sighing in relief that my fever was going down. I slowly began to close my eyes; he didn't stop me from falling asleep. I only heard Arthur humming a song for me to fall asleep to.


My eyes slowly began to open; I stood up to quick making the blood rush out of my head for a slight second. I held my head in my hands trying to get rid of the sensation. I observed my surroundings, while holding my head. It was one single room, the kitchen was small, with a small table in front of the appliances, the couch was right in front of table, there were two other small couches, and finally the bed right next to the door. In that moment the door opened gently, letting the bright sun in the small room.
"Oh!" A man came in, holding a basket; he had golden blonde hair, a bit of stubble on his chin, and bright blue eyes, "Bonjour, mademoiselle."

"Good morning." I mumbled.

"I went into town and bought some more demons' tea for you." He smiled leaving the door open, "I made you breakfast as well, I hope you like-…"

"I don't mean to cut you off, but who are you?" I said. He chuckled and handed me a piece of bread.

"My name is Francis Bonnefoy, I am a priest." He winked. I looked at him wide-eyed.

"You associate yourself with vampires even if you're a priest!?" I gasped almost choking on my bread.

"Oui~!" He winked, he sat down next to me, "Well, eyebrows and I have been friends for a very long time. He saved me from a troll once you see. Plus, I didn't mind helping a beautiful hunter like you."

I blushed and noticed Arthur wasn't here. It's not like I was missing him, but I didn't want to have the vampire king get away. Francis got up and went to the stove serving me some breakfast. He took it to me and placed it on my lap. The food's scent made its way to my nose, my mouth watered at the scent. It looked really good, and I didn't waste any time and confirmed the taste of the delicious food.

"Where's Arthur?" I asked, taking a spoonful of food.

"He's at Chika's house…" He looked back at me, "You do know who she is." I nodded, "Her house is a safe haven for vampires during the day."

"Don't they just sparkle?" I said as he handed me a cup of milk.

"Ha-ha! That is only a rumor. Didn't you attend school, hunter?"

"My name's __________." I corrected, "And I don't have enough money to go to school. Besides, you learn from experience."

"Well, that settles everything then." Francis picked my plate up and took it to the kitchen, "You'll be coming with me for today. I know too much about vampires, and would love to share my knowledge with you."
